The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has auctioned N206 billion in excess of its planned treasury debts of N50 billion at higher yields, in a bid to attract foreign investors.

The Presidency will present to the National Assembly three harmonised bills from the omnibus Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB), the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, has disclosed.

Foreign artisans exit building, construction industry over exchange rate, patronage

Foreign artisans from neighbouring countries such as Togo, Benin Republic and Ghana are now leaving Nigeria in droves.The Nigeria’s building and construction industry has been among the hardest hit as government budget financing for projects, such as building contracts, remains unimplemented and bank financing dries up. The slowdown in construction has necessitated big construction firms to lay off and abandon their foreign workers.
