Sick and infirm NOKs have been directed to call PTAD's toll-free telephone number 0800-CALL-PTAD (0800-2255-7823) before the commencement date for any special arrangements.

PTAD is exercising due diligence by validating the NOK records before making payment to them, in view of the time lapse between Pencom’s revalidation exercise and the payment period.

The Directorate is an agency created by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Pension Reform Act 2014, to manage and administer pensions under the Defined Benefit Scheme (DBS).

It will be recalled that PenCom had, after verifying the NOKs in 2008 and revalidating them in 2011, PenCom transferred the Data to PTAD in 2014 to conclude the process of payment to the NOKs.

The validation exercise will enable PTAD reconfirm the existence of the NOKs, update their information and obtain active bank accounts for payment of benefits.
