The commissioner, however, reiterated the government’s readiness to continue to partner with the traditional institutions in the state in view of their roles in the society, especially at the grassroots.

He said that the present administration was committed to providing effective and qualitative healthcare services to the teeming populace in spite of the nation’s economy challenges.

Speaking at the occasion, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, reaffirmed the emirate council’s willingness to complement the government’s policies and programmes in the health sector.

The emir, represented by Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, charged the Emirate Council Committee on Health to come up with the modalities toward improving healthcare services at the grassroots.

He advised his subjects to always observe personal hygiene and keep their environment clean.
