Former Governor enrolls for Theology at Open University, hints on becoming a preacher

Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has enrolled at the National Open University to study Theology. Oyinlola said his intention for choosing the course is to know God more.

Former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, was one of those who matriculated at the National Open University, Oshogbo campus, on Saturday, March 14.

The retired Brigadier General enrolled at the University for Post Graduate Diploma in Theology.

Speaking at the event, Oyinlola said he decided to study Theology in order to know God more, adding that he could become a preacher of the gospel. He also expressed that the Federal Government should invest more in the education sector.

‘The Federal Government should invest more in the education sector. It is a critical sector which must be given attention for any nation to develop.

‘Nigeria will be greater if we invest more in the education sector and Nigerian universities will rank among the best in the world with the proper funding of the sector,” he said.
