APC will look for a place for Governor – Buhari

The APC Chairman, Oyegun also said Governor Oshiomhole has put Edo state on a new pedestal.

Buhari also said the All Progressives Congress (APC) will find a place for Oshiomhole at the federal level.

While commissioning the ultra-modern Central Hospital, the President said “This is the best thing Oshiomhole has done for the people of Edo State. Instead of building a Government House, he decided to build a hospital and I think it takes a lot of time to do what he did.”

In his response, the Edo Governor said “One way of showing that we are equal before God is to provide a medical facility for the rich and the poor. I have often said that we cannot continue to lament medical tourism in the state. This hospital will provide medical care for all Edo people and will not be run like a civil service. We are proud of what we have accomplished and those who will run the hospital know best what to do.”

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II also commended Buhari for his war against corruption, and called for more Federal Government presence in Edo state.

The monarch also thanked the President for visiting him in his palace, adding that “This is the very first official visit the palace is hosting and also the first time using the beautiful modern hall for visitors. It is a good time for better things to come, the first time I am receiving the President as the Oba. May I use this opportunity to thank you for your contributions during my coronation ceremony.”

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi also described Oshiomhole as one of the best products of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
