Gov felicitates with Muslims on Eid el-Kabir

Gov Obiano has urged Muslims and Nigerians to imbibe teachings of Prophet Mohammed as they celebrate Sallah.

Governor of Anambra state, Dr Willie Obiano.

Obiano made the call in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr James Eze in Awka on Sunday.

He said that the celebration of this year’s Eid el-Kabir offered Nigerians a chance to show love to one another and strengthen the bonds of nationhood.

Obiano said that the teachings of the Holy prophet should serve as a guide to steps out of the current economic recession.

“Nigerians should love one another, show more tolerance for one another and work more closely together to pull the country out of the  recession,’’ Obiano said.

The governor urged Nigerian Muslims to continue to uphold Nigeria in their prayers, pointing out that Nigeria needed  prayers now more than ever before.
