The Director General, NYSC, Brig.-Gen. Johnson Olawumi, has commended corps members posted to the North Eastern parts of the country for their exemplary patriotism.

Olawumi gave the commendation at the Nigeria Army School of Military Engineers (NASMEs) on Saturday in Makurdi during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Olawumi, who was at NASMEs to witness the closing of a one week preparatory course for NYSC state coordinators, said no corps member currently serving was forced to serve in the North East.

NAN reports that the states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa were considered the theatre of insurgency in the country.
