Security operatives to undergo training to protect ranches, says C-G

Gana made the announcement on Tuesday in Kaduna after he held closed door meeting with the management and staff of the state command of the NSCDC.
He said the operatives would undergo special training at the Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria preparatory for the take-off of Agro-Rangers Unit.
He said that the operatives would provide security in and around the proposed ranches to be established across the country.
He added that the operatives would be trained to ride horse and motorbikes in line with the expectations of the duties they are expected to perform.
“Humility, patience, tolerance and diligence are qualities that must be imbibed by the personnel to enable them succeed in the sensitive national assignment,” he said.
The C-G also disclosed that there would soon be mass deployment of personnel to mining sites and areas ravaged by Boko Haram insurgents.
In his response, the state commander of the NSCDC Modu Bunu pledged that the command would support the Commandant- General.
