A photojournalist was reportedly attacked by unidentified hoodlums as Joe Ajaero-led faction of the Nigeria Labour Congress conducted a protest in Alausa, Ikeja area of Lagos State.

According to a report by Sahara Reporters, the photojournalist, who works with Punch Newspaper, was covering the Ajaero led protest at the Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association that held in the NECA house.

The report alleged further that the attack on the photojournalist, Sodiq Adelakun, was carried out in the presence of the men of the Department of State of Service, who left him to his fate.

According to the report, the victim said the hoodlums armed with guns, bottles and sticks arrived the scene in two buses and chased after him as he covered the protest.
