Finance Minister presents 2015 budget to National Assembly

The minister presented the document in separate appearances before the Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Minister of Finance and coordinating Minister of the Economy, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has presented the 2015 budget, estimated at N4.3trillion, to the National Assembly.

The tradition had been to present the budget before a joint sitting of both houses but this was reportedly shelved because President Goodluck Jonathan had delegated the task to Okonjo-Iweala.

The minister was accompanied to the National Assembly by other ministers and the‎ Director-General, Budget Office of the Federation, Bright Okogu.
