The deputy governor said that government would be interfacing at intervals with all security chiefs in the state with the view to nip any incident in the bud.

He released some telephone numbers which members of the public could use to call for assistance when in distress or to alert the government and security agencies on emergencies.

An exercise, “Operation Python Dance II’’ by the Nigerian Army in the Abia, on Tuesday resulted in a clash between the soldiers and member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Aba.

The fracas and the perceived reprisal in Jos on Wednesday, led to the imposition of curfew in Aba and Jos by the respective state governments.
