Group denies having links with Niger Delta Avengers
The National Director of Information, Sunday Okereafor said MASSOB is a non-violent group, adding that they do not use weapons like the Niger Delta Avengers.

Chukwu said “Avengers are militants. Their philosophy, ideology, concept, mission and vision are quite extraneous from MASSOB.”
Punch reports that the National Director of Information, Sunday Okereafor said MASSOB is a non-violent group, adding that they do not use weapons like the NDA.
This is contrary to reports that MASSOB commended the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) for issuing an ultimatum to some Governors in the South-East to release the Biafra agitators in police custody.

The Cross River state police command recently arrested 10 members of the Movement for Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Ikom.
