Nigeria is currently battling an outbreak of Lassa Hemorrhagic Fever (LHF) and the disease has so far claimed 53 lives around the country.

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has subsequently declared the outbreak a national epidemic.

Taraba state records 14 deaths

The Chairperson, Lassa Fever Committee in the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Jalingo, Taraba state, Aisha Sani revealed that 14 people have died so far, from the disease, since January 2016. READ
