Lassa Fever FCTA plans to fumigate Abuja to prevent virus

To fight further the Lassa fever virus and improve the environment, The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has decided to fumigate the entire Territory.

To fight further the Lassa fever virus and improve the environment, The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has decided to fumigate Abuja as a whole.

Muhammad Bello, FCT Minister, during an interactive session with the FCT Press Corps in Abuja, stated that the decision was made to reduce the incidences of avoidable diseases.

Bello further added that the FCTA has cleared its outstanding debt till December of over N250 million which it owed the cleaning and security contractors working in the FCT District and General Hospitals.

In a related statement he added that since February 9, 2016 there has been no new reported case of Bird Flu.
