Lagos lawmaker reportedly dies 4 days to LG election

Alimi was elected into the lawmaking chambers on August 8, 2015 and his tenure was meant to end on July 6, 2019.

The lawmaker was reported dead few days to the state's highly anticipated local government elections billed to hold on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Alimi, who turned 50 on July 3, 2017, was elected into the lawmaking chambers on August 8, 2015 and his tenure was meant to end on July 6, 2019.

While there are no official statements from the Lagos House of Assembly, insiders squealed that the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa has expressed shock at the news.

Before his death, Alimi worked at Lagos House of Assembly between 1992 and 2001; the Lagos Internal Revenue Service as Head CPO between 2001 and 2010; He moved back to the Lagos Assembly in 2011 and quit 2015 after he was elected into the Lagos House of Assembly as a member.

The late Alimi studied at Moba community primary school, Moba Eti Osa,attended Government college, maroko, Eti Osa, B.Sc in Economics, Lagos State University.
