Bitumen exploration begins in Ondo state, others soon - minister says

The minister said that plans were underway to begin exploration in Ondo, Ogun and other parts of the country.

Fayemi also told newsmen that his decision to examine the records of Fayose’s government is not with the aim of probing the incumbent governor.

Fayemi made the disclosure to journalists after he was conferred with an honorary doctorate degree in Public Administration at the 5th Convocation of Achievers University, Owo.

Fayemi said he was happy to be recognised with the award of honorary doctorate degree by the university.

“I am delighted with the honorary recognition.

“I commend the work that has started here; it is soon going to be a recognisable school among its peers," he said.

Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, at the event, congratulated the graduates.

Akeredolu said it was important to pursue academic excellence, but noted that agriculture was also important to the development of the country.

The governor, promised to construct the road leading to the institution, advised the awardees to contribute to the progress of the institution.
