An explosion which occurred in a busy bus station in Kano State has claimed 26 lives, according to witnesses.

The attack was carried out at Kano Line on Tuesday, February 24, by six terrorists, all of whom died in the blast.

20 other people, consisting of 18 commuters, a driver and a conductor, also lost their lives, Premium Times reports.
Three of the attackers were said to have detonated explosives while three of their companions who reportedly tried to escape were engulfed by the resultant blaze.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Idris, earlier confirmed 12 deaths after the 3:15 pm attack.
