Judges’ Arrest 7 Justices in DSS custody

The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested seven judges as part of an anti-corruption operation.

The judges were arrested between Friday, October 7 and Saturday 8 and the DSS has announced that it recovered more than $800,000 during the raid.

The seven judges in DSS custody, according to Daily Trust, are:

  1. Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court

  2. Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court

  3. Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja

  4. Kabir Auta of the Kano High Court

  5. Mu’azu Pindiga of the Gombe High Court

  6. Mohammed Tsamiya of the Court of Appeal, Ilorin

  7. Chief Judge of Enugu State, Justice I. A. Umezulike

Meanwhile, Rivers State Police Commissioner, Francis Odesanya, is facing a sanction for helping Governor Nyesom Wike to protect a judge from arrest.
