Police arrests blogger for allegedly defaming Gov's wife

Reports from Punch says that Ojo wrote a blog post, on the alleged arrest of the Ogun state first lady, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.

The Ogun state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi in an interview, confirmed the arrest of a blogger, Emmanuel Ojo, who allegedly defamed the Wife of the Ogun State Governor.

According to Punch Newspapers, Adejobi confirmed via a telephone conversation, that Ojo was detained at the Police Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

Reports from Punch says that Ojo wrote a blog post, on the alleged arrest of the Ogun state first lady, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.

Punch reports that Ojo alleged that Mrs. Amosun was arrested by the London Police, for allegedly trying to traffic the sum of US300,000, an allegation, which the first lady has denied.

Speaking further on the case, the Ogun state police spokesperson said “We received a complaint from the state government on the suspect, and he was arrested. Presently, he is with us at Eleweran. We are still conducting our investigations. If he is found wanting, he will be charged to court accordingly.”
