Boko Haram

Boko Haram terrorists on Saturday, Nov. 28 torched about 50 homes and killed four people  in a Niger border village, a local official said on Monday.

The official, identified as Fougou Boukar, and from the restive Diffa region, said the terrorists, numbering 10, fled to Nigeria after the attack that left two people injured.

“There has been enormous damage with about 50 houses burnt. The Boko Haram members were armed with Kalashnikovs and came across the Komadougou Yobe” - river that divides Niger and Nigeria, Boukar told state television.

Hundreds of distressed villagers, praying in memory of the victims were shown on the television, with some of them displaying dozens of empty cartridges they had gathered after the attack.

Pulse recalls that the terrorists had raided the Wogom village located near the southeastern town of Bosso last week, slitting the throat of the Chief Imam in the village, and 17 others.
