Police confirm 3 dead in ethnic clash

The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the killing of three persons in an ethnic clash between Eggon and Gwandara groups in Obi Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police, two families at Ungwan Mamman in Obi Local Government Area had a disagreement which turnout to be bloody.

According to police spokesman, the state police commissioner, Lawal Shehu, had already visited the area and deployed security personnel to maintain law and order.  ‎ "We have already deployed our men in that area for the maintenance of law and order," the police spokesman said.

It was gathered that the riot caused serious instability in the area with a lot of residents running for safety.
