Family of 15 reportedly killed after allowing female suicide bomber enter their house

Reports say the incident occurred just as the Army was busy repelling an attack by sect members in the heart of Maiduguri.

 

A family of 15 was killed by a female suicide bomber when they let her into their house, because she pretended she was being chased by members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

Leadership Newspapers reports that the family, on hearing the female suicide bomber shouting for help, let her into the house and she detonated the bomb she was carrying.

Reports say the incident occurred just as the Army was busy repelling an attack by sect members in the heart of Maiduguri.

An eyewitness, Ahmed Bala said:

“She ran into Bulama Isa’s compound shouting ‘Boko Haram, Boko Haram. When the families of Isa all came out of their rooms to meet the woman in the center of their compound, the woman simply detonated the bomb she had under her garment killing the man his three wives and ten children.”

Reports also have it that when the family head- Bulama Isa, who was not at home during the incident , returned home, another suicide bomber who was hiding came after him and detonated her bomb.

Mr. Isa also survived the second bomb attack in his compound.

This is coming shortly after the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed said that the war against Boko Haram had largely been won.
