8 feared dead after multiple suicide attacks

The attacks started on Sunday night with an explosion at the Muna garage area which was set off by a lone suicide bomber, Daily Trust reports.

Another two terrorists were said to have attacked a Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) check point around the Muna garage area but they were killed by the vigilante officers.

“We killed the two attackers with AK47 riffles and female bombers killed self,” a CJTF source said.

Another group of bombers was said to have attacked the Kalleri ward area and killed five people.

“We lost three people in Kaleri last night to the bombers; they would knocked on our doors when we open, they quickly grabbed people and detonated IEDs,” a resident, Alhaji Mala said.

The incident has been confirmed by Borno police spokesman, DSP Victor Isuku who said he would soon provide more details about the attacks.
