Six-year-old girl burnt to death inside church during vigil

A six-year-old girl was reportedly burnt to death in Egbeda, Alimosho local government area of Lagos State on Saturday, June 11.

According to report, the incident occurred at Faith Revival Church after the boys’ quarters of the church was gutted by fire while a vigil was going on at the main auditorium.

 Confirming the incident on Saturday, June 11, the Director of Lagos state fire service, Rasak Fadipe, said it occurred around 2am.

“We met the fire raging when we arrived. It was after the fire was put out that we discovered the little girl’s burnt body in one of the rooms,” he said.

"We finally put out the fire at about 5am.”

The church authority could not ascertain the cause of the fire as the time of filing this report.
