Commissioner advises populace on regular exercises to prevent heart-related diseases

Idris urged Lagosians to imbibe positive attitude on how they approach health issues and other daily activities to keep fit at all times.

It's great to prepare ahead before going to the gym

Idris gave the advice at a keep-fit exercise organised by the Wema Bank Plc to mark its 2016 World Customers Service Week in Lagos.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the keep-fit exercise took the bank’s workers, customers and members of the public through its office on Admiralty Way, Lekki, Victoria Island to IKoyi through the new suspended bridge back to the Admiralty Way office.

Theme of the 2016 Customers’ Service Week is entitled: "Service Champions".

It recognises that excellent service could only be achieved with a team of dedicated professionals working together.

NAN reports that the week is celebrated every year from Oct. 3 to 7.

The commissioner said that he decided to join the bank’s keep-fit exercise because of the importance of healthy living.

According to him, those negative ways of life that are injurious to health must be changed to live long.

He added that the service week was not only meant to celebrate the delivering of excellent service at work place, but to have sound mind through regular exercises.

In his remarks, the Managing Director of the bank, Mr Segun Oloketuyi, said that this year’s celebration was centred on good health for all.

Oloketuyi said the bank focused on health because it was essential that the bank’s members of staff, customers and other members of the public should take issues concerning their health very seriously.

He said that the week-long activities would witness more lectures on health and the corporate entity.
