Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his predecessor, Sen Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso are now in battle of supremacy in the state, Pulse has gathered.
Checks revealed the crises is not unconnected with a purported plan to renovate a deputy Governor's lodge.
Governor Ganduje is also being accused of derailing from the political ideology of his boss/ leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso by deliberately sidelining all political associates of his predecessor.
It was also allege that the governor has boss, abandoned a controversial 5km road projects in all the 44 LG’s across the state.
The feud, it was gathered, affected the fate of the deputy governor, Hafiz Abubakar, who now shuttles for over 10 kilometers on daily bases from his home before reaching the government house.
Contractors have failed to complete the N200 million renovation works at the deputy governor’s lodge.
He was also accused of turning a blind eyes towards the completion of 5.8km fly-over bridges, and forming alliances with the former minister of education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.
Governor Ganduje has also been accused of deliberately leaking out some vital documents to “political enemies” of Kwankwaso who have petitioned EFCC with allegations against him bordering on financial dealings with pensioners funds and other sundry charges.
A source who confiding on the lingering crisis said the contractor handling renovation works at the official residence of the deputy governor was starved of funds by the governor in an effort to keep him out of the corridors of power ostensibly to frustrate him and Kwankwaso.
The deputy governor who now shuttled from his residence at Kabuga housing estate, a distance of over 10km daily to his Office, is said to be angry with his boss and our source, says that this situation has forced him to hurriedly travel to USA for more than one month in order to express his deep frustration with the situation.
