In Kano DSS arrests 5 ISIS trainees

The Department of State Security (DSS) has discovered a cell of the international terror group- ISIS in Kano state.

The DSS also arrested five trainees who were on their way to Libya and other African countries for advanced training.

Some U.S. officials told Reuters that there is no evidence showing a major link between Boko Haram and ISIS.

Vanguard reports that the Kano state DSS director, Abdullahi Bello Chiranchi said the discovery was a significant breakthrough.

The DSS boss also said they have disrupted the operations of ISIS in Kano state permanently.

Chiranchi revealed that those arrested were indigenes of Kogi state who were on their way to ISIS training camps.

A 29 year old Nigerian man was arrested in Germany for allegedly having ties with the Islamic State (ISIS).
