Corpse of missing man found in moving fuel tanker

A 25-year old welder who went missing two weeks ago has been found dead in a moving fuel tanker.

Francis Azeta

His body was later found lifeless on Thursday, June 9, 2016 inside a moving fuel truck in Kaduna. The truck had Faz Oil written in front of it and Forte Oil Plc. on the side.

The truck had been supplying fuel to several states but was intercepted by security agents before the discovery of a lifeless person.

It took the effort of men of the Kaduna State Fire Service to be able to cut the fuel tank and bring out the corpse of the 25 year old Francis whom friends and family has spent two weeks searching for.

His mother, Mrs Ezeta says she suspects ritual killing.

Some of the suspects who gave conflicting accounts of how they perceived smell while up loading fuel in Port Harcourt and discharging it in Minna, Niger State informed the police investigators in Kaduna that they could not check what was smelling.

The suspects are now with the men of the Nigeria Police Criminal investigators in Kaduna.

"Francis went to work on the 27th of May and did not return," the deceased elder sister, Veronica Ezeta told Pulse at the Sabon Tasha Police station, Kaduna.

"Since then, we've been looking for him. We went round the city including his working place, Faz Oil but could not find him.  We went to State CID and they did radio messages but there was no positive response so they asked us to come to Sabon Tasha Police station and lodge the complaint," Veronica added.

She said after some days, the police arrested some suspects which led to the discovery of her younger brother dead body inside a moving fuel tank.

"Four people were arrested. The tanker driver and three other staff. It's still remaining three others. The GM, the Manager and the accountant. We went with the Police at their working place in Television Kaduna but they ran away," she said.

Veronica also said that it is a case of murder since her brother was found dead inside a fuel tank belonging to a company where he works.
