Government declares three days of mourning as seven die in car crash

Six medical doctors and a driver died yesterday after an accident which occurred a few kilometres to Kaduna. The seven had been on their way to Sokoto from Ekiti.

 

The six doctors had been in an I8-seater bus, which was transporting them to the Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Medical Association scheduled to hold in Sokoto state when the accident took place.

As reported by Daily Trust, the deceased doctors are Dr. Aladesanmi of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ido-Ekiti; Dr. Ojo Taiwo of the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH); NMA Secretary, Dr. Akinyele Lexy; Dr. Ogunseye of the Health Management Board (HMB); EKSUTH Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) President, Dr. Olajide, Dr. Adeniyi James of the FMC and the driver of the bus that conveyed them, Ajibola.
