Troops rescue 211 civilians, clear out insurgents

It was also reported that during an encounter, the troops neutralized one Boko Haram terrorist and recovered 11 bicycles.

According to reports, following reports of Boko Haram terrorists scavenging in some villages in northern Borno State, the troops in conjunction with Civilian JTF took on terrorists in Cingal, Murye and Mala Maja villages.

The patrol team also reportedly rescued 211 civilians held captives by Boko Haram terrorists at Murye and Mala Maja village.

The patrol team escorted 2 heavy duty trucks and 18 pick up vans to recover Internally Displaced Persons' foodstuff from Mala Maja. The rescued persons are currently being screened
