The report further revealed that the deputy governor died in his sleep at an official lodge in Yola.

According to a report by Leadership, the deputy governor died in his sleep while on an official trip to Yola.
Umar's remains was reportedly discovered in the room at about 8am today, August 15, 2015, when he was not seen coming round for his morning prayer.
His corpse has been deposited at the mortuary, while preparation is being made for his burial.
