According to one of the staff of the filling station, Garba Hussaini, number of people at the station was over 500, not to mention scores of cars.
“Today, we are very lucky because there are over 500 people with hundreds of cars waiting for fuel when the sect member approach the crowd with 5 litres gallon, pretending to have come to buy fuel”, Hussaini told Daily Post.
He further explained that the terrorist had pulled a knife to stab one of the boys controlling the crowd, when he attempted to stop the militant from gaining into the station with a gallon. It was then that the Civilian JTF noticed that he had a bomb tied round him.
"He (Civilian JTF) quickly grabbed him before he made any attempt to detonate it,” the attendant added.
