At least nine persons have died in a suicide bomb attack which took place in Maiduguri, Borno State, reports say.

The explosion is said to have taken place in the Dikwa Road area of the state capital on Monday, November 23, 2015, according to Sahara Reporters.

“We heard loud explosions near our area.  We quickly went to the scene and we found nine people [and] a [motor] vehicle seriously damaged,” Baba Kura, a resident, said.

The attack was also reportedly been confirmed by an official of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).

It has however not been confirmed by any relevant security agencies.
