Late PDP women to have mass burial

The women were burnt to death along the East-West Road in Rivers State on their way back from a visit to First Lady, Patience Jonathan in the Okrika area of the state.

11 female members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who perished in a car accidenton Saturday, February 14, will be buried in a mass grave.

The women were burnt to death along the East-West Road in Rivers State on their way back from a visit to First Lady, Patience Jonathan in the Okrika area of the state.

The decision to conduct a mass burial was reportedly reached by the families of the victims due to the fact that the corpses have been burnt beyond recognition.

A pathologist also informed the families that testing for DNA to identify each individual victim could take up to six months.

Mrs. Jonathan on Monday, February 16,paid a visit to the families of the deceased to share her condolences.
