In Abuja ‎NSCDC boss pledges improved welfare, training for staff

Mr Abdullahi Muhammadu, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has pledged to ensure better welfare and training for its personnel.

Muhammadu made the pledge when he received the management team of Bomax Bluesky Green Homes Estate Consortium in Abuja on Tuesday.

``We are working on a better and unique housing scheme for the personnel. The preparation is geared towards retirement for all personnel", Muhammadu said.

The commandant solicited the support of Nigerians in the bid to secure the nation's critical infrastructure, adding that it was re-strategising on its operational tactics to ensure better service delivery.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the corps had‎ secured memorandum of understandings with the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals to deploy 5000 personnel to protect mineral resources against illegal miners.

He cautioned those vandalising the nation's assets to desist or face the wrath of the law.

The team was in his office to present the prototype of the housing estate to be constructed for corps personnel across the federation in line with the welfare package and housing policy.
