Igbos demand for VP slot ahead of 2019 election

INC also accused Buhari’s administration of failing to fulfil its promises to the people of the South-East.

According to the group, the President must fulfil this condition if he wants them to vote for him again.

According to Daily Post, the group’s President, Chilos Godsent said “The Igbo National Council INC has long x-rayed the performances of PMB and also the fulfillment of their campaign promises to Southeast region.

“The INC is of the view that the PMB-led federal government has abysmally failed the Southeast due to marginalization of the zone by the government.

“Consequently, INC’s condition for the South East to support PMB for second term is that APC should zone its Vice President ticket to South East.”

Buhari’s peace move

This is coming on the heels of reports that President Muhammadu Buhari will embark on tour of South East states beginning with Ebonyi.

Some political observers see it as a move aimed at improving the relationship between the region and the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government.
