The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) on Wednesday said it had transported 8,851 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2015 pilgrimage.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, the Director, Public Affairs of the commission, Alhaji Uba Mana, said the exercise had not encounter any hitch since its commencement in Kaduna on Saturday.

About 66,000 intending pilgrims from the 36 states and FCT are expected to join other Muslims from parts of the world for this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
