Diezani Alison-Madueke needs psychiatric evaluation

According to a video report published by Al Jazeera on June 11, 2016, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized a home worth $18 million from Ms Alison-Madueke.

Former Petroleum minister, Deziani Allison-Madueke

The former petroleum minister has stolen so much from Nigeria that she is now the stuff of legends.

According to a video report published by Al Jazeera on June 11, 2016, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized a home worth $18 million from Ms Alison-Madueke.

The mansion is located in Asokoro, Abuja and it boasts of a bulletproof gym and $2 million worth of furniture.

The EFCC had earlier also seized a watch worth £600,000 from Alison-Maduekeand one worth £1.4m from the wife of her associate, Jide Omokore.

Ms Alison-Madueke is believed to have personally supervised the looting of $6 billion (N1.2 trillion) from Nigeria’s coffers and is also accused of bribing officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) with $115million (N23.29bn) to secure a re-election for former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

“We have been able to take on a lot of big shots that were hitherto untouchable…We have recorded 164 convictions in just one year,” EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Magu told Al Jazeera in the video report which featured shots of assets and cash which have been seized from looters of public funds.

Magu was very right, Ms Alison-Madueke was indeed untouchable during the Jonathan regime and that most definitely contributed to her madness because absolute power corrupts absolutely.

According to former Central Bank Governor, and now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, going against the former minister during Jonathan’s regime was akin to suicide.

“I knew that taking on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporaton was taking on the most powerful minister in Jonathan’s government, and nobody who had touched Diezani had survived,” he said during an interview with Forbes Africa.

Sanusi was severely harassed by the government after he disclosed that funds had gone missing from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which was under Ms Alison-Madueke’s control.

A lot of people have argued that the former minister is innocent until proven guilty, but those are the words of people who have been tainted by a warped system. Diezani herself is also claiming to be innocent and has even invited God into the matter fully knowing that he is merciful and kind and as such would not give her the response she deserves.

“I leave them to posterity, their conscience and above all the Almighty God who is the final judge of all,” she wrote in reaction to the Al Jazeera video.

The former minister also went ahead to whip up sympathy by emphasizing that she has cancer.

“Coming at such a critical time in my life when I am battling cancer, this poorly executed propaganda bares on its face like tribal marks, a clearly malicious attempt to victimize an innocent woman in what appears an exaggerated plot to validate and give credibility to the anti-corruption crusade under Nigeria’s new regime,” she said.

“People who are battling cancer or those who have lost their loved ones to this medical condition understand what I am going through at this time. This is what makes me ponder at the cold-heartedness of those who will go any length to defame and destroy in the name of propaganda. What happened to our shared humanity?” she asked.

Ms Alison-Madueke forgets that it is not just the Nigerian government that is investigating her for corruption. The United Kingdom and the United States of America are also involved and they rarely take action without cold, hard facts so she should please put an end to her poorly organized pity party.

Even if Alison-Madueke is found innocent in a court of law, it doesn’t change the fact that she’s a thief. Res ipsa loquitur, the facts speak for themselves. How can one person be connected to so much insane thievery? The minister alone has been accused of illegally enriching Omokore, billionaire, Kola Aluko, INEC and even Fidelity Bank.

No human being with a conscience and sanity would steal like Diezani did, especially not from a developing country. But she stole, she stole like a crazy person. She and her cohorts were living large on ill-gotten wealth while the average Nigerian suffered.

For those saying Diezani is innocent, please answer me this, why did she need a bulletproof gym? Why? Is it not to protect herself from the evil she knew her actions could attract? Or maybe that’s where she kept all the stolen oil dollars.

Also, if she is so innocent, why was Sanusi Lamido persecuted for her sake? Why were all attempts to probe her during Jonathan’s regime stopped? Why did she run out of the country before Buhari was sworn in? Why was she arrested by the UK government? Why are Aluko and Omokore being investigated when she is their only connection to public office? Madam Diezani should please stop adding insult to injury by lying after robbing the country blind.

The former petroleum minister is clearly suffering from a serious mental disorder, one that has plagued many Nigerian officials and caused them to steal like crazy people while also leaving them in denial of their guilt.

Therefore, as Diezani is getting treated for cancer, she should also endeavour to get psychiatric treatment, because all is obviously not well up there.
