FIRS Agency shuts Bolingo Hotels over N24.4M tax debt

The FIRS continued its crackdown on tax defaulting companies on October 19, 2016 as it shut Bolingo Hotels over N24.4m tax debt.

Popular hospitality outfit in Abuja, Bolingo Hotels and Towers have been shut by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) over an outstanding tax of N24,422,572.84.

According to a statement from the FIRS, Bolingo Hotels and Towers, which is situated at the Central Business District is said to have accumulated the debt in taxes from 2002 till 2016.

An enforcement team led by Bukar Umar Gana had carried out the continued crackdown on tax defaulting companies in Abuja Wednesday, October 19, 2016.

In the same vein, the FIRS enforcement team in Lagos sealed the offices of the Nigerian German Chemicals Limited, located at Oba Akran Avenue, Ikeja, over a tax debt in excess of N146.6 million.

Trident Marketing Limited situated on Ajao Road, Ikeja, was also sealed for being indebted to the tune of N90.8 million.

In Sango-Otta, Ogun State, Allied Atlantic Distilleries Limited was shut for owing over N45 million.
