FERMA FG awards N1.3bn contract for repair of roads in Kano, Katsina

The Federal Government has awarded a contract for the repairs of some roads in Kano and Katsina states.

This was disclosed by Zonal Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Mohammed Sani on Tuesday, February 14.

“In Katsina state we have three awards which include Daura township road and two roads along Kano-Katsina road,” Sani told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

“All the awards are captured in the 2016 budget and their completion period is six months,” he added.

Sani said that five roads will be rehabilitated in Kano State at the cost of over N720 million.

Meanwhile, the road repairs in Katsina State will cost more than N600 million.

The roads to be repaired in Kano are the Kano-Gwarzo-Dayi, Tiga-Doguwa, Karaye-Rogo, Lajawa-Gamarya-Masuba and Kwanar Maroko-Maroko roads.
