Nigerians insult presidential aide over ‘abusive’ Christmas tweet

The tweet was in reference to a previous one in which Adesina described members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as “Wailing Wailers”.

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity

Presidential media aide, Femi Adesina is again in the eye of the storm after a controversial Christmas tweet.

“Merry Christmas to all, including the Wailing Wailers,” Adesina tweeted today, December 25, 2015.

The tweet was in reference to a previous one in which he described members of thePeoples Democratic Party (PDP) as “Wailing Wailers”.

The term has since become acceptable as Twitter lingo but many feel it’s inappropriate for Adesina to use it, especially in what should be a goodwill message to all Nigerians on Christmas Day.
