Fayose was initially spotted at the Johannesburg International airport in South Africa on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

The governor sat in the public section of the airport instead of the VIP section and was accompanied by only one aide.
He was later said to have boarded a South African Airways flight to Lagos where he sat in the economy section.
