The EFCC had charged Fani-Kayode alongside Nenadi Usman, a former finance minister, and Danjuma Yusuf with a 17-count charge bordering onunlawful retention, unlawful use and unlawful payment of money to the tune of N4.9 billion.
EFCC set to release ex-minister after meeting bail conditions
They were arraigned before a federal high court, sitting in Lagos, and consequently granted bail on July 4 to tune of N250 million.

In a statement issued on Monday, July 11, Ndukwe said the former minister is “waiting for the EFCC" to very his bail documents before he would be released.
“He misses his family very badly, especially his five-month-old son Aragon, and he looks forward to coming home to be with his family, friends and loved ones,” the statement said.

Fani-Kayode, who was in EFCC detention for 62 days, remains confident, healthy and in high spirit, his aide said.
