Tambuwal orders payment of July salaries to Sokoto workers

"Gov. Tambuwal is wishing all the citizens of the state a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration,’’ it added.

Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State says he has approved the immediate payment of July salaries to workers ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr.

This is contained in a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Malam Imam Imam, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto on Monday.

According to the statement, payment of salaries has commenced for all categories of workers in the state civil service.

It ‎urged workers in the public service to reciprocate the government's gesture by continuing to render invaluable services to the state.

The statement also appealed to them to use the remaining days of Ramadan to pray for the peace, unity, stability and progress of the state and the country.
