Anti-graft agency denies plan to re-arrest Fani-Kayode on Nov 10

EFCC has denied plans to re-arrest Fani-Kayode when he is arraigned on November 10, 2016.

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode appears in court on June 28, 2016

In a report by Premium Times, the anti-graft agency's spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren discarded the tale saying it was a mere rumour.

Meanwhile Fani-Kayode's spokesman, Jude Ndukwe has said he is aware of the plans to re-arrest the ex-minister when he is arraigned for a charge of collecting N26m from ex-NSA, Sambo Dasuki.

Ndukwe claimed further that plans to re-arrest his principal for the third time by EFCC has been revealed to him.

He said: “Yes, we’ve been hearing that they have several matters lined up for which they will use to continue to detain him indefinitely. It’s a very dark moment for our country.”

Continuing, he said: “Don’t forget that when he was re-arrested outside the court about two weeks ago, the EFCC did so without a warrant of arrest or any detention order.

“Even if he’s granted bail 100 times, the EFCC will rearrest him 100 times. Please let me repeat, the EFCC is a lawless organisation,”  Ndukwe said.

Fani-Kayode served as spokesman for the reelection campaign of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
