Minister’s brother abducted in Bayelsa

Joseph Agama, Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s younger brother, was kidnapped on Thursday, March 18, by unknown gunmen.

The brother of Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke has been abducted in Bayelsa State.

Joseph Agama, Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s younger brother, was kidnapped on Thursday, March 18, by unknown gunmen.

The incident is said to have occurred at about 12:30am in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The incident has been confirmed by the state police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat, who said that rescue efforts were already underway.

The kidnappers have not made contact with their victim’s family.

This comes barely five months after Mrs. Alison-Madueke’s sister, Osiyo Agama, was kidnapped in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

She was however rescued shorty after.
