DSS agents invade former NSA’s Abuja home

The DSS officers are said to have invaded Dasuki’s home in a bid to prevent him from leaving the country.

Agents of the Department of State Services (DSS) have launched a raid on the home of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, reports say.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had, on Tuesday, November 3, ordered the Federal Government to release the former NSA’s passport to enable him travel abroad for medical treatment.

According to Punch, Dasuki planned to travel out on Wednesday, 4, but postponed the trip when he realized that the DSS had prepared an ambush for him at the airport.

“The SSS are raiding the residence of the former NSA, Dasuki again. We really can’t say why they went there. They were with two of their operational vehicles painted in black and are parked outside,” a source told Punch.

“You know that the man was to travel to the UK via a Lufthansa Flight on Wednesday night. The man had to call off the journey when it was realised that the SSS had gone to the airport to lay siege to him. Then, this morning, they went to the house, nobody knows their intention for now," the source added.

Dasuki is facing charges of illegal arms possession and money laundering.

The NSA’s troubles began in July after he was removed by President Muhammadu Buhari and saw his homes in Abuja and Sokoto raided by DSS officials.
