President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he is planning to visit Cameroon for talks on the fight against Boko Haram.

Buhari had earlier met with the leaders of Chad, Niger and Benin Republic over the issue but Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya was absent from the meeting.

The Nigerian President explained, while speaking to AFP on Monday, June 15, 2015, that he couldn’t make the visit earlier because he had been invited to attend the G7 summit in Germany.

"But on my return to Nigeria now, I will try to go to Cameroon," he said, on the sidelines of the ongoing African Union Summit in South Africa.
