This was disclosed via a statement released on Friday, June 12, by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
It reads:
“President Buhari is scheduled to undertake his first continental assignment since taking office by chairing a meeting of the Peace and Security Committee of the African Union during the summit.”
“The President is also expected to hold bilateral talks with other African leaders on the sidelines of the summit to consolidate his ongoing drive to secure Nigeria and neighbouring countries from Boko Haram.”
Buhari is expected to return to the country on the morning of Tuesday, June 16.
