President Muhammadu Buhari is set to attend an anti-terrorism summit in New York next month on the invitation of United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon.

Buhari will also meet with a select group of 25 World leaders on September 27 to deliberate on a global climate change agreement.

The summit will hold on September 28, 2015, and be attended by other world leaders.
This was disclosed by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, via a statement on Monday, August 24.
US President, Barack Obama and President Francois Hollande of France are also expected to participate in the September 28 meeting to discuss a new United Nations draft resolution on combating extremism worldwide.
The UN boss arrived Nigeria on Sunday, August 23, for a two-day official visit.
